Sailing

Our yachts are used for RYA Practical Offshore Sailing Courses as well as being available for bareboat or skippered charter.

Catalina 32 Sailing boat

Figment III (LOA 10.3 m) is brand new for 2006 and is comfortably equipped for 6 crew with hot and cold running water, shower and freezer. She carries Department of Transport Category 2 Safety approval and is fitted with modern instrumentation including VHF radio, GPS, EPIRB, NAVTEX, etc. Full safety equipment including life raft, lifejackets and harnesses are carried on board. An inflatable dinghy with outboard allows crew to get ashore from isolated anchorages.

Westerly - 32 foot sailing boat

Freedom (LOA 9.8 m) built in 1985 comes from the famous Westerly boatbuilders. She is equipped with furling headsail, stackpack mainsail and spinnaker. At 9.7 m in length, she has ample space for 6 crew and equipped with tiller steering, autopilot, manual cold water system, fridge/freezer and Eberspacher heating. She is an excellent performer and finished the sailing legs of the 2003 Three Peaks Race in 3rd position.

Sadler 32 Sailing boat

Fantom (LOA 9.7 m) is our lovely 1980 Sadler 32. Built to a classic design she sails really well and completed her delivery trip from Cornwall to Ballachulish in record time. Comfortably and spaciously fitted out below with lots of traditional wood and plenty of storage and hanging space she has berths for 8 but is actually coded for 6 crew. She is fully instrumented and is equipped with a cool box, cold water, heating, autohelm, tiller steering, roller reefing on the headsail and boom roller reefing on the mainsail. She is equipped with a recently fitted powerful Mermaid 56hp diesel engine and comes completed with an inflatable dinghy.

Visitors who have not previously experienced offshore sailing or who have limited time will find our day or evening "Taster" Cruises an excellent introduction to this invigorating sport.
